Gi Group makes an important acquisition in the UK market and enters Eastern Europe.

Gi Group sets up its presence in Argentina. At the end of the year Gi Group joins CIETT, the world association of employment agencies, as a Multiregional Corporate Member.

Gi Group makes an important acquisition in Romania.
- 2008
Générale Industrielle and WorkNet merge into one brand: Gi Group, the biggest Italian-owned recruitment agency, providing temporary staffing, Search and Selection, training, outplacement, insourcing and outsourcing, HR Consultancy and payrolling. The expansion programme continues: China and Hong Kong, France, Brazil, Spain, India.
- 2007
Gi Group begins its international expansion with acquisitions in Germany and Poland.
- 2006
Turnover reaches 500 million Euros.
- 2005
Gi Group enters the outplacement business (DBM Italia).
- 2004
Acquisition of WorkNet, the employment agency of Fiat Group. The new entity becomes the first Italian player, with a turnover of 320 million Euros and 190 branches.
- 2000
Générale Industrielle establishes a firm presence in the temporary employment business with a network of 20 branches and a turnover of 20 million Euros.
- 1998
Birth of Générale Industrielle.
